Vicky Mackerman has 20 years experience teaching piano and performing professionally.  She holds a B.A. in Piano Performance from College of St. Catherine, St. Paul, MN, and a B.A. in English and minor in Journalism from University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, IA. 

In addition to teaching, Vicky is currently Music Director for Peace Lutheran Church, Lauderdale, MN , where she has served for 15 years.  There she performs weekly on piano and directs a choir.  She also directs and performs in small instrumental ensembles.

Vicky is a judge for piano critiquing events sponsored by the Association of Professional Piano Instructors (APPI), a member of Minnesota Music Teachers Association (MMTA) and Music Teachers National Association (MTNA).

She is also an active chamber musician in Minnesota, performing in The Firefly Trio.

She has also served as Pianist for Roseville Community Theater's productions of Babes in Toyland, and Teddy & Alice, and The Children's Castle Theater production of Pippi Longstocking. She also accompanies professional and student dancers and musicians around the metro area (see Accompanist Experience below). 

She performs professionally for corporate, collegiate, and non-profit organizations (see Solo Piano Performances below).

In addition, Vicky has performed with the Northeast Orchestra, Ro. She continues to perform at Peace Lutheran Church, and also with other musicians around the area.
