Get to Know Vicky Mackerman

Vicky Mackerman has been teaching  and performing professionally for more than 20 years. She holds a B.A. degree in Piano Performance from St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota, and a B.A. degree in English and a minor in Journalism from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

 

In addition to teaching, Vicky is Music Director for Peace Lutheran Church, Lauderdale, MN, where she’s been serving for 18 years. There, she directs the choir, performs weekly, and plays with guest ensembles.

 

Furthermore, Vicky is a judge for piano competitions sponsored by the Association of Professional Piano Instructors (APPI), and a proud member of the Minnesota Music Teachers Association (MMTA) and Music Teachers National Association (MTNA).

 

She is also a founding member of the chamber ensemble “The Firefly Trio”, a piano trio comprised of piano, cello, and violin that performs throughout the Twin Cities.

Students can play for local senior living homes.
Adults of all ages enjoy taking lessons.
